About Liz

Liz Washburn brings skills and habits to her role as a real estate broker that were honed in a previous teaching career.  She knows the critical importance of communicating effectively and connecting with clients as individuals.  On time, prepared, and willing to multi-task, Liz is able to meet individual needs and to deal with the varied complexities of buying and selling real estate.  She has learned how to stay organized in the midst of interrupted schedules, and, most importantly, understands what it means to know her subject. Liz spends much of her time learning about the local market and using this information to assist clients. 

Liz is also passionate about what her mountain home has to offer and relishes sharing this way of life with others.  As someone who lived in the suburbs for many years, she understands that, for many, a move to the mountains represents a radical change.  She knows that a slower pace of life doesn’t mean giving up a lifestyle abundant with social engagement and activity. Whether kayaking, hiking, gardening, enjoying cultural events, participating in community organizations, spending time with her pets, or simply sitting by a creek soaking in the beauty around her, Liz is enthusiastic about mountain living.  

Liz has experience in selling real estate in the Charlotte, North Carolina region. She has also worked as a high school English teacher, newspaper reporter, and associate editor.
